Baseball sonnet

Baseball Kevin Markel

Baseball, the game where you need to be smart,
Thousands of situations you need to know.
Curve the ball or throw it like a dart.
More than hitting and being able to throw.

When you go up to bat, take your signs,
Make sure you get them, or coach will be mad.
Get your batting stance, all different kinds.
Don't strike out or you will be sad.

In the field, be ready for each play,
Know each situation, be on your toes,
Don't rely on the pitcher, just to get K's,
If you're caught off guard it really does show.

Stay focused and you will win the game,
Or act like a fool and be put to shame.
